Installation Support
The detailed installation instructions will step you through setting up Windows IIS and installing your Portal software. It is very easy to setup and runs immediately.
If you purchase installation services we will either step you through the Installation process over the phone or if you provide FTP access we can install the software for you, at your ISP site or your local server.
After installation you should make the necessary modifications to the site configuration to fully customize your Portal. Making modifications is very simple and straight forward with extensive online help with complete explanations of configuration options. Minimum Requirements for viewing when using our Hosting Services
Any computer that can run Microsoft Internet Explorer v5 and above. The portal will run with other web browser but the functionality may be comprimised.
Minimum Requirements For Installation
You do not need a server in a special room for our Portal Software. We run great off Microsoft XP Professional on a standard home desktop PC. You can run our software and still use your desktop PC for your normal business or surfing the internet.
Prior to installation you must first download the software from this page, have IIS up and running or an Active account with a Windows based ISP. The Portal has been tested with Microsoft IIS v5 and up which comes free with most Windows systems (Excludes Windows 95, 98, ME, XP Home). With Microsoft IIS installed we support the following operating systems Windows NT, 2000 Pro, 2000 Server, 2003 Server and XP Pro. This portal views best with Microsoft Internet Explorer v5 and above, and Windows 95, 98, ME, XP, 2000 and 2003.
For installing the portal software the minimum hardware requirements is a Pentium III 400mhz, with 256MB of memory and at least 200MB of disk strorage for uploading your documents, forms, information, photo's, pictures and videos.
For Business intranets you do not need an internet connection, however an internet connection (Home DSL is fine) is necessary for the internet eMail features and being able to share your portal outside your organization or home.
The Business and Family Portals use Microsoft ASP and Microsoft Access as the database. Your server or your ISP will need to have Microsoft ASP and Access support. Microsoft SQL version will be available December 2007. The upgrade path will be FREE, and will come with an easy to use migration tool.
